The Hammerhead MRT establishes new standards in features and performance for the highly rugged industrial and military markets. With an IP67 rating and Mil-Std 810F certification, the 5 pound milled aluminum dynamo packs powerful communication solutions. In addition to a Type III PCMCIA slot, the MRT offers a flexible connector module, which allows the unit to be customized with a variety of communication devices such as Taclink® and PCIDM® modems. All Hammerhead MRTs have an internal "flex" space that accommodates a Garmin GPS or an additional radio. A SAASM ready option is also available.

The Hammerhead MRT features optimal outdoor viewable displays with a patent pending NVG/NVIS compatible night vision option. Whereas others use outside filter screens, the WalkAbout night vision filter is built into the unit with no blooming effect. The night vision display features variable low light settings down to 0.05 nits.
