Answer: I'm not sure if we will be posting all of them, but I may post the 6 finalists on Monday
Question: Is it possible to withdraw an entry and replace it in favor of a different
one due to the 2 submission limitation? (Either replace one or both entries you've made already?)
Answer: Yes - I think since the questions and answers posted here have given people a better idea of my my likes and dislikes its fair to allow you to withdraw an entry and replace it with a new one if you like. -

Question: Do the Sunglasses have to be in the Logo?
Answer: If i saw something I really liked without them I wouldn't eliminate it - but I do like the idea of the sunglasses remaining in the logo.
Question: Could tell me a little more about what you’re trying to achieve with your new logo.
Answer: I am planning on redesigning the web site with a fresh new look in 2008, a new logo is a good place to start.
Question: Are you looking for logo concepts, or finished artwork?
Answer: Finished artwork is preferred
Question: Hi there, I was going to start working on a couple of logos when I read the
following on the contest page:
"The submitted artwork should be between 600 by 900 and 1200 by 1800 pixels
in size. The image must be smaller than 75 KB"
I thought those two sets of parameters sounds at odds, I just wanted to check with you and verify
that the larger sets of logos (up to 1200x1800) don't have to be that small
of a file size, but the web-ready logo should.
Answer: Actually I'm not concerned with the pixel size or the file size as long as it looks good and it will print nicely on a business card
Question: I wanted to know if you already had another font picked out for the next site version, or if you would be basing the font off of the logo that one of us designs? Are you looking to have a contrasting font for the logo vs the
navigation of the site, or something consistent?
Answer: In truth, I haven't given any thought to the font for the new site yet. That said, the logo can be in any font. If I decide I like the font in the new logo better than Ariel or Veranda I may do the font on the site in the same font - if not the Logo can be in its own font and the site will be in Ariel and or Veranda.
Question: Are you looking for something amusing or clever for you logo? Would something animated be an possibility?
Answer: I don't' think so, I am looking for sophisticated and original. But I certainly wouldn't rule anything amusing out. ( I like to be amused) If something clever or cute is what catches my eye I would use it. I wouldn't necessarily rule out animated without seeing it, but I don't think flash or animation is a good idea for a header or a logo. (Great question, thank you for asking it)
Question: Why are Black, White, Purple, Blue and Silver the suggested colors?
Answer: Because those are the colors the site will be redone in - there will be no pink, yellow, orange or green in the color scheme because I don't care for those colors.
Question: In submitting the work in regards to the specifications listed on the site, should designers also have print ready and web optimized file types ready in addition to, or after a winner is selected will you take care of that?
Answer: Print ready and web optimized files would be appreciated
Question: I am just a little curious as to why you would need the winner's social security number?
Answer: As the value of the prize is over $600.00 The Social Security number is needed for Tax Purposes
Question: "A resident of the United States of America" Why not international competitors?
Answer: The reason for the contest only being open to residents of the United Stats has to do with US Tax Laws and Shipping outside of the United States.
